One of Chattooga's oldest and most beautiful churches, the Summerville Presbyterian Church is located on West Washington Street.

This photo from 1924 shows the dedication of the current church building. The church was originally formed in the 1840s.

According to Gene McGinnis, this photo was taken "on July 18th, 1959, the day my sister got married at the Presbyterian Church. That's Dr. Martin's station wagon. All the windows are open because there was no air conditioning at the time." The photo was taken a couple of years prior to completion of the education wing which runs to the right.
